Frequently Asked Questions

Facials F.A.Q.

What skincare line is used for treatments?

I proudly use Osmosis Pür Medical Skincare, their unique philosophy is based on analyzing the skin and body as a whole to treat skin conditions at their source, restoring beauty and wellness. You can order products direct from Osmosis. I also use the Image skincare, a clinical skin care line providing effective skin care solutions. I’m certified in dōTERRA essential oils AromaTouch.

How often should I get a facial?

The skin cells turn over and build up every 28-40 days, depending on age. Therefore, a maintenance resurfacing treatment is recommended every 4-6 weeks for optimal skin health.

Why should I get a facial?

The skin is the largest organ in the body. As we age, all physiological mechanisms slow down. The skin needs certain ingredients to prevent malnutrition of the skin, which results in sagging, wrinkles, and excessive brown spots on the skin.

Do you perform Microdermabrasion?

No, Microdermabrasion thins your skin and leaves it more vulnerable, and this may result in the skin surface looking less natural.

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Using a scalpel and a delicate touch, the provider simply abrades the surface of the skin using light feathering strokes. It is also a first choice for patients who have excess vellus hair on the skin. This hair often causes a buildup of dirt and oils in the follicles, so removing the hair gives the client healthier looking skin. Removing epidermal skin also allows products to penetrate more readily into the deeper layers. Dermaplaning is most often used on clients with rough, dry skin, superficial hyperpigmentation, mild acne scarring, or fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment results in a more refined, smooth, “glowing” appearance.
